房利美2012獲利創新高

拜房市反彈之賜，金融危機時期遭美國政府接管的房貸巨擘房利美（Fannie Mae）去年轉虧為盈，獲利擊敗包括沃爾瑪（Wal-Mart）、奇異（GE ）和波克夏（Berkshire Hathaway）在內的標普500成分股，創該公司歷來新高。

房利美2日發表聲明說，2012年淨賺172億美元，是2006年來首見年度盈餘；相較下，2011年大虧169億美元。在派發給財政部42億美元股息後，去年第4季獲利仍高達76億美元，優於第3季的淨賺18億美元，和一年前同季的淨損24億美元。

房利美說，最快下月公布的今年第1季財報可能更亮麗。假設該公司決定公司的獲利表現夠強，可逆轉以前減記的逾580億美元遞延稅項資產，則可望產生為數可觀的一次性收益；若是如此，這筆錢將必須償付給美國財政部。

房利美總裁兼執行長梅約波洛斯（Timothy Mayopoulos）說：「我們在可預見的未來料可持續獲利。這對納稅人是一大佳音。但決策者仍須決定未來房市融資系統的走向。」
